THE CRYSTAL
A crystal cut on both sides.
At the heart of the Vessel is a sapphire crystal with curved facets cut into its outer surface. The underside is then cut with matching curved facets, a precise negative of the surface above.
Curved crystals, faceted faces and sculpted undersides have all been seen before. The Vessel is the first time they are unified into a single crystal with mirrored top and bottom geometry, a construction unprecedented in watchmaking to our knowledge.
FIRST PROTOTYPE YIELD
Five good crystals out of a hundred. Every maker we asked to cut the underside as a true negative refused, until one known for sapphire cases agreed to try.
Each internal facet aligns with its external partner, so the dial reads clear as you tilt the watch instead of distorting at an angle. The crystal costs more to produce than the movement, reversing the usual order at this price.

THE DIAL
A Meteorite dial, aqua signed.
A meteorite dial that highlights the futuristic design, finished with an aqua seconds hand and matching aqua rotor visible through the exhibition caseback.
The aqua seconds hand and rotor are inherited from the Diver One Aqua, Wren's first watch. A quiet line drawn from where the brand began to where it goes next.

BRACELET & STRAP
Engineered from nothing.
Most young brands buy their bracelet hardware off the shelf. The Vessel does not. Wren developed its own quick-release system and built the microadjustment into the links rather than the clasp.
THE DESIGNER
MAX RESNICK
Wren's first watch developed with an outside designer. Known for the Anoma A1 and VPC, Resnick worked under Craig Karger's direction across two years, from first sketch through final production.
Every measure of the watch.
The Vessel, up close.
